Weapon of Choice
Quick question for all you folks out there in Xangaland:
Do you type out your blogs right in the Xanga editor, or do you use a word processor or text editor of sorts to type them out beforehand?
Personally, because I'm a web dork of phenomenal proportions, I type raw HTML right into the Xanga editor. I like doing this much more with my web design blog Blogger (shameless plug
), but that's how both of my posts come to fruition. My best pal, The A.I.T., chooses to type out all of his entries in OpenOffice.org (at least until we can get Word working again) and then transfer them to his blog through cut-and-pasterey. While this has never really interest me before, he has some extremely profound, wonderful blog posts out there, and it's making me think. It's most likely because he's profoundly better at writing and speaking and English in general than I, but it did raise the question.
So, what about you? Where do you type out all of your posts?

I know that it's fairly irrelevent, since these days I can barely claim the title of blogger at all. However, back in the day, I would use the Xanga editor, except when I needed to do more than text. In that case, I remember enough about HTML to do my own images and links without getting an assist from the toolbars, which have never seemed to work quite properly on a Mac.
However, I do use the toolbars for blogger, as the placement of images within paragraphs is a bit beyond my abilities. It's a bit of a moot point, since the spacing on the blogger blog (also sadly neglected) are too narrow for the images, and the text ends up getting pushed beneath it.
While I was blogging in high school, I would typically type things out in advance in whichever word processor was most convenient (either TextEdit or Word, whichever icon I clicked first.) There was no special reason for that, except that I didn't have a wireless card back then, and I did a lot of my blogging in the back of English class.
xanga edior. Hey I like the new design. And I like that you are blogging as well. BTW, you seem just fine with the written word.
Your new design HATES Mozilla. Or would that be the other way around...
Anyway, I mostly use OpenOffice because my editing skills are absolutely horrid. Furthermore, without dictionary.com I'd probably never bother writing at all as I wouldn't know how to spell anything. (Fun Fact: I had to look up the word "editing" to see if it had one "t" or two.) Hell, even after writing out my entries in a word processor, I still use Blogger's spell check function. But, man, I really, really miss grammar check... I doubt it misses me though.
Ultimately, I store everything I write on my computer, hence the reason why I don't just type them out on the site.
I write them directly into Xanga. I wish had something more interesting or profound to add to this.
