I'm not even supposed to be here today
Today was a pretty relaxing day of time spent with the family. Did laundry at mom's house in the morning, while entertaining her boyfriend's children. His oldest is nine, so there's a pretty big age difference between my siblings and them. Nothing makes you feel like a giant old person like a bunch of monkeychildren climbing all over ya. It's nice to spend time with the kids, but it's also nice to be able to leave two hours after you arrive.
I stole my two brothers shortly thereafter, because they'd never seen Clerks. I own Clerks 2, but I had to rent the first one. I imagine it must have been odd being able to see one after the other, since I had to wait a good ten years in-between. Also, since Sundays are usually a very relaxed time for me, I hadn't showered yet and was looking quite like the hobo I really am. I hope the girl at the video store didn't think poorly of me.
After the movie marathon, I brought my brothers over to my father's house, where I caught up with him, my stepmom and sister. Dad was brewing some maple syrup on the grill, so everything smelled wonderful outside. Syrup season is always a sure sign of springtime around our area, so I'm starting to get hopeful the good weather will hold up.
All in all, I'm pretty satisfied with the way I spent my Sunday. I only have two days off, and Sunday is turning into the day I do everything family related. While it does seem like I don't have nearly enough time to cover all my bases (my family is large and very spread-out around the area), family is one thing I don't mind blowing an entire day on. However, this may be just the excuse I've been waiting for to start looking into extra-extremely-early retirement...

How was your Sunday?

Oddly, my Sunday was filled with family things as well (mom and I took Grammie to the book store so she could get out of the house) and... your family things (that Silence Of The Lambs parody makes me laugh uncontrollably everytime I see it).
